"Your Christian life is no stronger than the time you spent with God this morning."

Our Pastor

  Jeremiah J. Sargent

   Senior Pastor
Jeremiah Sargent was born in Wangaratta, Victoria, Australia. At the age of 5 he trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Saviour and shortly thereafter was baptized into the Willeton Bible Baptist Church. At the age of 10, his family moved to Oak Harbor, Washington, where his father, Robert Sargent, serves as pastor of Bible Baptist Church. He acknowledged the call of God upon his life at the age of 14 and received his training for the ministry through his church. In 1998, Brother Sargent graduated with a Bachelor in Theology from Bible Baptist Church Institute and an Associates in Technical Arts from Skagit Valley College.
In April of 2003, he began serving the Lord full time in the church as a "minister to the pastors" (Acts 19:22). During this time, Brother Sargent oversaw the youth ministry, printing ministry, and jail ministries. In March of 2006, he was ordained and called as senior pastor of Bible Baptist Church. During his pastorate, under the direction of the Lord, Brother Sargent led the church to start an evangelistic outreach called the "Highway 20 Project". To this day, the church continues its commitment to spread the gospel and disciple the saints in the communities along Highway 20.
On April 12, 2009, Pastor Jeremiah Sargent concluded an eight year ministry to Bible Baptist Church — moving to Lubbock, Texas where he accepted a call to be “senior” pastor of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Brother Sargent and his wife, Shannon, have one daughter. You may contact Pastor Sargent at
